MARTIN BRIGHT LGSM studied percussion at
the Royal College of Music under Alan Cumberland
(LPO), Janos Keszei (BBCSO), and Michael
Skinner (ROH) and composition with Bernarnd
Stevens. He owes a great debt of gratitude
to these very fine musicians.
As a composer Martin's works have ranged
from classical chamber music (performed in
various venues including the Purcell
room at the South Bank and the British
Music Informaton Centre, London) to Jazz
fusion and Cuban style arrangements performed
by his bands around the country.
When not gigging, MARTIN runs a variety
of music workshops around the country
including; teacher training (as well as working
as a consultant for the Artstart5 training
project), various percussion sessions and
demonstrations, family work and music for
hearing impaired children and adults with learning
He also teaches percussion at home and in
several schools in north Cambridgeshire.
